Chingda Electronics has launched a USB Type-C connector that is compatible with all interfaces, eliminating the need for most multi-wire interfaces and suitable for applications ranging from handheld ultra-thin devices to industrial applications requiring reliable equipment.
Chingda Electronics’ new USB Type-C connector features an enhanced electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielded receptacle housing to help eliminate harmful EMI leakage and provides enhanced performance exceeding that of comparable legacy products.
Chingda Electronics’ design includes an additional connector plate for mounting, enhancing its durability to a level comparable to standard industrial-size interfaces.
“This USB Type-C connector represents a significant improvement over previous generations of USB connectors,” said Barbara Grzegorzewska, Director of Data and Device Input/Output Product Management at TE Connectivity.
“The new USB Type-C industry-standard connector offers faster data transfer rates, higher power, and A/V connectivity in a single interface, opening up greater design flexibility for engineers designing next-generation electronics.”
